With over 111,000 members, 1. FC Köln - also affectionately known as Effzeh by fans - is one of the largest sports clubs in Germany and stands for the region like no other club. Cologne was a founding member of the Bundesliga and celebrated three German championships and four cup victories.
With over 1,000 fan clubs, Borussia Mönchengladbach is one of the most popular football clubs in Germany. The offensive style of play in the 70s earned the team the nickname "Fohlenelf". With five championships, three cup victories and two UEFA Cup wins, Borussia is one of the most successful German clubs.
Hardly any other club matches STAHLWERK's history as well as VfL Bochum. Even the club's anthem says "Pulsation of steel". The likeable promoted team from the Ruhr region is back in the 1st Bundesliga for the first time since 2010. Their greatest successes include four second-division championships.
HSV can look back on six German championships, three cup victories, two league cup wins and success in the European Cup Winners' Cup and the European Cup of National Champions.
